During his time at Nullsoft, I became friends with Ian Rogers. He would tell me about the time he'd spent working for the Beastie Boys, but I was as surprised as I assume most of the Nullsoft folks were when I heard he would be leaving Nullsoft to work for Grand Royal Records (the Beastie Boys' label). Not long afterward, he asked me to create a skin for a band called At the Drive-In, who would be having their major label debut with Grand Royal in a few weeks. The skin, however, would be needed in a matter of days, and I found a Fed-Ex envelope full of materials waiting on my doorstep the next morning.

The skin is patterned after the CD artwork, with the booklet cover providing the basis of the main window, and the CD back suggesting the colors and design of the remaining windows.
